Spring Diffuser blends

diffuser with essential oils
With Winter coming to an end, diffuser blends change here at House on Toffee. From spicy and woodsy scents, to more fresh, bright and citrusey scents. Because when I think of spring, I think of words like sun, happy, light and lemonade. And I want my diffuser scents to portray the same.

However, with plants starting to grow and bloom, seasonal challenges arise for certain individuals. I know my husband is for sure one of them!

Where he used to reach for Benadryl, which would render him useless for a good 2 hours, now he uses a combination of Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint Essential Oils. ( Of course I’m not claiming Essential Oils treat, prevent or cure anything! All opinions are my own, this is simply what works for my family)

He uses them internally, aromatically as well as topically. How exactly you ask?

For internal use, he combines 2 drops each of Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint in a Veggie capsule and swallows it with a glass of water. Aromatically, he uses 2 drops each in the diffuser he is closest to, or simply in the whole house. This he does at work, too! Topically, he uses a roller bottle. In a 10ml roller bottle, we add 20 drops each and top it of with a so-called carrier oil, like fractionated coconut oil or even olive oil if that’s all you have on hand. With this combination, he rolls his feet every night before bed and even when he needs extra support during the day!
