Homemade Soft Scrub

We’ve all been there. Soap scum is taking over the shower, someone spilled BBQ sauce all over the fridge and didn’t tell you and now it’s all nice and crusty. And let’s not forget the dark gray grout in the kitchen that is supposed to be white. This simple, easy to make, homemade soft scrub can take care of it all. And let’s not forget it can take of the toilet too, since those rings don’t scrub themselves away…

I especially love it to scrub those water/soap rings out of my tub so it’s nice and shiny for when the little ones take their baths at night. Of course you can also use it to scrub those dishes you meant to soak in the sink all night and just noticed you didn’t and need them to make dinner, like right now.

In a medium sized bowl, combine the Baking Soda, Castile Soap ( I love Unscented Dr. Bronner’s), with the Water and White Vinegar and wait for it to stop fizzing. Give it a good stir to combine it evenly.

Add your Essential Oil and mix well. I love the freshness of Lemon but would also use Wild Orange or On Guard Essential Oil, which both are very cleansing as well.

Store your homemade soft scrub in an airtight Mason Jar under the sink and use when needed for those stubborn messes.

To use, apply a layer on top of the stain or spot you want to scrub and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes to do its magic. After that time is up, wipe it up or gently scrub with a sponge.
